For some previous episodes of Well Equipped we shot two videos in one day. That was becoming hectic, so we have lately been shooting two videos on successive days. Kicking off this year are reviews of cake and breakfast gadgets. As usual, the Epicurious team finds some odd gadgets to try out. We review them to confirm, and I get a set a few days beforehand to pre-try (if I can get to it, usually not all the gadgets.) We than start shooting, lately from the Condé Nast Entertainment studios in the World Trade Center in Manhattan. As is obvious in all videos, there’s not rehearsal. The comments are improvised, and ideas may come from me or from any of the crew on the set. Here are kinks:
