Epicurious video, on the ergonomics of kitchen gadgets

I spent a day in the Epicurious/Condé Nast studio reviewing a collection of kitchen gadgets selected by the Epicurious team. It was the first time, I believe, that kitchen tools underwent this type of ergonomic analyses at Epicurious. Some performed far better than others. Mainly, it was fun to put them through their paces, and try to guess what the design teams were thinking (or not thinking) when developing them. I rated the gadgets on design and usability, and the look of the final result. Items included a watermelon cubing device, corn stripper, and a pineapple corer. We shot a lot of short  segments that (I hope) will come across well in the final edit.

The edited video will be released online, expected date is the end of this month (July 2019) or early August. Thanks Katherine Margules, Cristian Rossel at Condé Nast for inviting me, and the video crew for being fun to work with.
